Boy  meets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl back.  It’s a common formula but one that works in this movie. She’s Out of My League is a fun movie with plenty of laughs.

Kirk (Jay Baruchel), a 20 something airport security guard meets Molly (Alice Eve), a stunningly beautiful young lady, as she is going through the airport security checking point.  Molly accidently loses her phone which is found by Kirk who agrees to return the phone to her.  Kirk is not the best looking guy and is aptly labelled a 5 by his friends, while Molly is rated a hard 10.

A great supporting cast keeps the laughs in high rotation.  Kirk’s friends while supportive, just don’t really think a relationship between the 5 and the 10 is possible.  Kirk’s family and ex-girlfriend are also amazed by the new budding romance yet despite the pressure from all sides, a romance does form.  Of course we already know this based on the trailer, yet it is fun to see the events unfold.

You feel yourself rooting for Kirk and hoping he can get it together before he ‘blows’ it.  When the handsome ex-boyfriend fighter pilot comes on the scene, Kirk has to take it to another level to win the girl.  Can he beat the odds?

This movie doesn’t take itself too seriously and with plenty of gags the whole cinema crowd was laughing out loud.  For a 104 minute good time, this movie is for anyone who wants to have a good laugh.
